Our team is hard at work on several major innovations that we plan to unveil this autumn. In the meantime, here's a summary of the features and improvements released in August.
Changes have been made to the color schemes for the dashboard menu.
Configurable legends for the ‘significance’ and ‘low base’ indicators have been added to the chart settings on the dashboards;
The editor panel is now presented directly in the chart publishing interface.
Transferring the “No Line” series option from the dashboard to PowerPoint using Report Generator.
Harmonized settings for grid charts.
Quantitative MR-sets now work with categorical variables.
Versatile color schemes for dashboard menus
After presenting the new dashboard menu, we gathered your feedback and enhanced the color schemes. Now, each section of the menu has two color pickers for customized viewing.
The first picker is in charge of the main background color that defines the tone of the menu pane.
The second one is in charge of the colors of the selected element or, in the case of the hamburger menu, for a title color.
Colors of inactive elements are chosen automatically as contrast ones.
Configurable comparison legends on dashboards
The configurable comparison legends are now available for most types of charts and may be activated directly on a dashboard.
Editor panel for published charts
Published charts as independent entities can now be edited without redirection to a database. The chart settings pane was transferred into the chart publishing interface.
Editing when returning to the database is also kept as an alternative method.
Saving the ‘No line’ option in the Report Generator
A new addition to the Report Generator functionality is the ability to save the "No Line" option set for a series in the line chart on the dashboard.
On the dashboard, this is a series setting "Dots." However, when generating a report, it becomes equivalent to using the "No Line" setting in PowerPoint.
Harmonization of grid-charts settings
Both types of grid charts have been augmented with settings that improve the visual presentation of the headers. We have resolved the issue where these settings would reset when switching between the grid charts.
You can now set the exact width and height of row headers and the height of column headers (in px). It is a very handy feature if you have a series of similar charts and struggle to align them manually.
If you prefer not to expand the header space, consider the text wrapping feature, which can be enabled using a separate toggler in the menu. This feature is now available for both types of grid charts.
Quantitative MR-sets for categorical variables
Quantitative MR sets now work with categorical variables in a similar way to numeric variables. The principle of building categories in the MR-set in this case will be based on the digits associated with each variable. When creating such an MR-set, you can choose which categories to exclude (e.g., "don't know," “99”, etc.). By default, all categories are included.
Mathematical operations in such an MR-set will be performed by calculating the ratio of the volume for a category to the sum of the volumes of all categories.
