This July, we focused extensively on improvements and innovations for dashboards, but not only. Here are the updates we’re excited to share with you:
Switch the comparison on the entire dashboard tab with a single button;
Selected labels for button type controls;
Possibility to enable downloading charts from dashboards as images or Excel tables;
Using the moving average directly on dashboards;
Search bar in the dashboard menu;
Feature count metric;
Solus macro drop operation in crosstabs;
Logical operations availability for GRID REPORTS;
Trigger publishing of synchronized data
A single comparison button for dashboard tabs
The most convenient way to simultaneously disable/enable comparison indicators is implemented on the dashboards in DataTile. With a special icon in the toolbar, you can create a button control that disables/enables comparison indicators in all widgets where this option has been set. Read more here.
Selected labels
The new functionality for controls, exemplified by the significance button, allows them to function as switch buttons. These controls can toggle between two positions: on/off, active/inactive, etc. In this case, the name of the control option will indicate the inactive state, while the active state can be specified using the selected labels. You need to swap them if you want to have a call to action instead of a status designation: e.g. Total On/Total Off.
Export charts from a dashboard
Dynamic charts managed by controls can now be downloaded directly from the dashboard, provided this feature is enabled for the chart. Read more here.
You can download charts in PNG, JPG, and XLSX formats.
Moving average on the Dashboard
Dynamic moving averages can now be applied directly in charts on the dashboard using input control. By creating an input control and setting its type to 'Integer', you can assign it to a widget as a 'Moving average'. Read more here.
A search bar on a dashboard
A search function has been added to the dashboard menu. Clicking on the magnifying glass icon in the right corner opens the search bar and the search is performed even if a single character is entered.
You can search for:
tabs,
widgets (charts),
texts.
A new metric: Feature count
The feature count (F.count) metric enables you to count the number of unique codes or values for a variable. This metric is incredibly useful for instantly calculating and displaying data on a chart, such as the number of ads shown to people in each category.
Solus AND-not option in crosstab
A new option, Solus, is available when dragging options to a crosstab. In addition to existing logical combinations like AND-join and OR-join, you can now use AND-not expression on the fly. Here is an example:
we add 4 options (A, B, C, D) dragging upon the rows and using the Solus option
,
the result in a crosstab for each option is the following: option A and not options (B or C or D).
Logical expressions for Grid Reports
Menus with logical combinations like And-join, Or-join, and Solus when adding options are now available for Grid Reports just as they are for crosstabs.
Trigger publishing of synchronized data
A handy innovation for those working with synchronized entities. Now there is an option to trigger the update of synchronized bases directly from the My Space toolbar. Use the ‘Download’ icon and click on the ‘Populate changes’ option marked with a special icon .
In addition, information about the last time synchronization took place is now available in the information panel.
