Moving average in the Crosstab
Moving average provides the average value over a rolling period, which we define by entering the number of periods into a designated field.
To calculate the moving average in a crosstab,
activate the MA button;
enter the desired number of periods in the field that appears;
click CALCULATE.
If you don't see the Moving Average button, go to Project Settings → Settings → Features Availability, and tick the corresponding checkbox.
Moving average on the Dashboard
Here is how to use the Moving Average on a dashboard:
Create an input control using the toolbar's ‘Add search control’ icon
.Set the type of the control to ‘Integer’.
Set the MIN and MAX values allowed for choosing and a default value.
Assign the input control as the Moving Average (MA) to the chart widget.
Switch to VIEW mode and enter the number in the input control.
