Sometimes users may need to analyze both weighted and non-weighted data on one dashboard or have multiple weights. This can easily be done with the use of controls.
The trick is to create a control with several ‘tabs’ containing the same feature or variable in each and apply weight for only one of them. When you assign this control to a chart in your dashboard, users will be able to switch between weighted, non-weighted or data with multiple weights.
How to create a control with several weights:
Make sure all weight configurations are set in your project;
While a dashboard is in EDIT mode select Create a Control;
In the control editor drag&drop the variable options into the middle window;
Name the tab ‘Weight 1’ (or another relevant name) and select the weight from the dropdown.
Duplicate the tab, rename it ‘Weight 2’ and then apply the second weight.
Click the ‘Save Control’ button.
Once you have saved the control, ensure that you assign it to the charts as Put on: Columns or Rows.
