Multi-column Rank Chart
Updated over a month ago

The multi-column rank chart is an excellent option for data presentation. It not only shows the position of each variable in a column relative to others but also does this for all columns, allowing us to see trends as well.

After building the query in the crosstab, switch to CHART mode and select the rank chart from the list.

Go to the bubbles settings and choose the order of rank positioning on the chart:

  • None: all ranks will be displayed in a straight line next to variables;

  • by Ranc asc: ranks will be ordered from the highest value to the lowest in each column;

  • by Rank desc: ranks will be ordered from the lowest value to the highest in each column.

Note, that the series tab has the ‘Bubbles’ title. Here you can change the position or visibility of the series, or change the color scheme using the sub-menu.

The rank chart is great for comparing all the answers to questions, sorted by each column and shown in a single, easy-to-read chart. It allows you to see the dynamics and make statements backed by visualizations.
