The aggregated MR-set is specifically designed to simplify working with aggregated precalculated data.

For aggregated data, this feature enables the correct use of significance, base, low base indicators, MATH, etc.

For example, consider the following aggregated data:

  • The number of respondents who are aware of the brands;

  • The number of respondents who use the brands;

  • The number of respondents who like the brands;

  • The number of respondents who were asked the question (it will be treated as a base for the calculations for each brand).

You can use shares or percentage shares instead of counts, but avoid using variables with different data types when creating aggregated MR-sets.

How to create an Aggregated MR-set

  1. Upload the dataset and select variables to be included in the aggregated MR-set. Include variables with one type of aggregation - count, share, or percent - only;

  2. Click on the ‘Declare MR-set’ icon ;

  3. Choose the ‘Aggregated’ type of MR-set;

  4. Once the aggregated type is selected, you must specify the variable to be treated as the base.

  5. Depending on what we have as aggregate data, select ‘Count’, ‘Share’, or ‘Percent’ for correct calculations. In our example, we have counted data.

Using the data provided as the BASE variable the system correctly calculates the significances, Vert%, and makes mathematical operations.

The low base indication is deactivated for the aggregated MR-set.
