Multi-response Set for Average aggregations

The mean MR-set type is designed to represent the ratio of the category average to the given maximum value.

The result that will be presented when a Vert% metric is selected will display the following parameter:

AVG/MAX value*100%

For example, the study involves a question measuring customer satisfaction with the service on a 12-point scale. Customers evaluate three services and we get three variables with the following scores

Although the maximum value of the scale is 12, the highest scores here do not exceed 8. In such cases, the maximum value needs to be explicitly specified during the creation of the MR-set

Note that all MR-set types are clearly defined with icons in the variable tree.

  • Variable-MultiResponse.png - Dichotomous MR-set;

  • Dichotomous-MultiResponse.png - Categorical MR-set;

  • Quantitive.png - Quantitative MR-set;

  • Mean.png - Mean MR-set;

  • Dichotomous-Numeric.png - Aggregated MR-set

Once the Mean MR-set is created, you can place the generated variable in the rows and apply the MEAN and Vert% metrics for instant calculations.

In our example, the average score for Service 1 is 6.4, which represents 53% of the maximum value.
